My First Ever Travel Experience with One of My Best Friends

Let me give you a head ups, the parts of this blog is going to be divided into 4 mini parts. 

This is part one of my experience to book trip to Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India. I will let you know how, we got to know about this town and how I booked this mini fun tour. For those who don't know, Kodaikanal is a small town in Tamil Nadu. The mountains and nature in Kodaikanal make the town look mesmerizing and provide a divine experience.

Of course, as friends normally do, we (my best friend and I) couldn't decide where to go until Make My Trip (MMT) suggested this beautiful town while I was researching travel destinations. We already had a list of places, and Kodaikanal was never a part of that list. I thank MMT for suggesting this place because you will learn about our real experience as we progress in the story ahead.

For those who don't know, MMT suggests some awesome customized packages for your travel. They take care of your breakfast, lunch, and stay. However, entry tickets, dinner, and extra sightseeing will cost you an additional fee. Of course, it all depends on what packages you choose, but most of their packages are as I described.

Okay, so moving on. This was my first experience with MMT. I was scared because I had never booked a tour in my life. Yes, I have travel experience, but it was always a third party who used to book it for me and my family.

Later, I discussed this package with my best friend, and she researched Kodaikanal. I also checked the sightseeing options on Google to see if it was worth visiting, and as expected, Kodaikanal did not disappoint me. The places looked divine. I am a mountain person, and when I saw the pictures of Kodaikanal online, I fell even more in love with the place.

I booked the tour, paid 80%, and 20% was to be paid later. The tour was booked. I planned to visit in November 2023. I couldn't wait to explore the beauty, and as the days passed, my curiosity kept increasing.

And finally, the day of travel arrived...
