The Silver Lining

Every living thing on this earth does experience one or at times multiple dark days. The shades of this darkness may differ from person to person. Yet, for the one experiencing it, these are the person's most horror-filled days that they never want to live through again. Hello, Lovelies, how are you all doing today?

Let's talk about the sad, dark days, also known as the depressing days of our lives. I am sure all of you readers have experienced these challenging times. And I am also aware that there would have been a time in your life when you might have felt so low, that you wanted to end it entirely. I know this because I have felt the same.

Before we begin, we posted an exciting blog post on the 1st of August 2023 - Did you guys read it? Oh, missed it? No worries. Click here and have a look at How to create a routine timetable? - Full Guide

Yet, now that I have overcome those experiences and I look in hindsight all I feel is peace. This is because I do believe that dark phases are like a strict teacher. Their lessons are painful but very important. They are that bitter medicine that may leave a bad taste in the mouth but are good for healthy living. The Beauty of Trials (dark phases) is that it's pretty straightforward this many fail to notice. They are not like sweets that are pleasant to eat but cause diabetes.

You are not experiencing such pain to check your tolerance or to break you. You are going through this to learn and improve. If you still don't believe me. Do this exercise.

Close your eyes and try to relive all of your painful trials. Some may start crying while doing this. Don't shy away from your emotions. Cry as much as you wish, let your emotions flow. Now that you have relived the scary part, think of what happened after that dark phase. How have 'you' changed after that, are you still the same? High chance, the answer will be a big 'No'.

That my lovelies is my evidence that trials are life lessons. There are many more examples that I can provide you with. Yet, the underlying message of all of these shall remain the same. Growth is by itself a painful experience. Still, no one ever argues to not experience it.  The saying is true: "Every cloud does have a silver lining. If you want it to be visible try and look a bit closely.

Therefore, if you are going through a dark phase or have overcome it already, be proud of yourself. Because you are getting shaped and polished, you will come out as a shining diamond. I guarantee you that.
