As an influencer, I get tons of brand collaboration opportunities. If you are an influencer, this same case is with you. Now being an influencer, we are happy because collaboration is a really great way to expose your work, not only for you but, also for the brand. Now there are various forms of collaboration. Some are paid, some are barter and some are both. 

Now there are also a few people (middle men) who deal with the brand and then go on a search for influencers, who are eligible. 

Collaboration is a great thing for any influencer. But, we influencers have to stay cautious. In this era of crimes, there are many such people who commit fraud in the name of collaboration. I am not saying that you shouldn't trust anyone, but, first research and then go for collaboration, especially when the offer is from a 3rd person. Sometimes, even brands do not know that someone is using their names while dealing with influencers. So enquire. Let them know or ask them whether they have entrusted their campaign to any person.

This hasn't happened to me yet, but, I had one friend with whom this thing has happened and she lost around two thousand. She then never dealt with a brand through any 3rd person, which is correct, to be honest. First get to know whether the brand has entrusted its campaign to any third party. (Telling you all again). This is a great way to stay alert while dealing. It's really very important that we save ourselves from becoming a victim. 

Also, there are many new influencers who are unaware of collaborations. They do not know how to go about it. Nobody is there to guide them. Even if they text someone, nobody is bothered to help them out. To be honest, I have helped at least 10 people who were very new in this world. I would also request everyone, please help them when they text you. Trust me, it's a great way to get in touch with new influencers. No matter how small their number of followers are, they do matter. We all have one common goal: "EXPOSURE". Please help the new influencers. I was lucky, many helped me when I asked them about collaborations.

This message is very important. I also know many of us have come across such fraudsters. Some send links, some try to get you your monetary information etc. There are various forms of committing digital crimes. I really wanted to talk about this because I have seen and also experienced how people randomly text you about collaboration and they seem suspicious. 

Well, at the end, I would just say, stay alert while dealing with any person for collaboration. Also, be assured that you will get back your hard-earned money. Some of us are students and dependent. I know Instagram has become a huge way to earn money and products, but, what's the use if your money is involved and there are huge chances that your money is never coming back to you?
