Hey readers,
Today is
Saturday and hence a story day. Today’s story is very interesting and was shared
with me by my friend. Do read and share with everyone so that I will be
encouraged to write more.
There was a
girl named Anupama. She was a very bright and honest girl. She used to always
go to school, come home and help her mother. Her routine was simple and there
was nothing fancy in her routine or interesting as such. She used to spend her
time with family or reading books. Now you all must be wondering about her
friends. Yes, she had a friend named Karishma. Both used to study in the same
school and class. But, Karishma used to stay a bit far, and being a girl
Anupama was not allowed to roam alone. Her father was very protective and
possessive about her.
Let me tell
you about her schedule and life in a good manner.
Anupama goes
to her school. Being alone was not her weakness and she never considered
herself to be alone. She was very simple and did not want anything from her
parents or life. Her mindset was such that she was happy with what she has. So,
she used to go alone to the school which was not very far and used to come
alone. While walking she used to enjoy the view of nature. Anupama reaches her school. She used to sit
on the second bench and used to focus on her studies. As I told her life was
simple. After school, she starts walking towards her house. She reaches home,
eats her food, helps mother and her day ends with reading few books. This
continues for few years.
Now being a
human, you at some point in time get bored of your schedule. You feel bored and,
want to explore your capabilities and life, hence Anupama got bored and she
wanted to explore her life and capabilities. She started watching her classmates
being happy and having a large group. Her classmates used to plan something
every day. For example, games, or
outings at waterfalls, etc. Anupama also wanted to join but, was shy. She
suddenly wanted to become a center of attraction. She wanted attention which
she never got because of her routine. Of course, after so many years she wanted
to have a large group and escape her routine, it was not easy. We all know how
it is in schools and colleges. Students make their groups and hang out within
themselves only. But, with huge courage,
she approaches the group and asks for permission to join in. Karishma does not participate in this because
she doesn’t want to be a part of any groups.
The group stares
at Anupama as if they do not know her. They giggle for a second and then ask her
to meet them at the lakeside at 6 pm. Anupama was very happy and she shares the
same with Karishma. Karishma warns her not to go to the lakeside so late
because she might then reach home late after the outing. Anupama feels that
Karishma is jealous of her. She ignores her advice and escapes her house at
5.30 pm.
After
reaching the lakeside at 5.50 pm she finds nobody there. But, still, she waits
for them since she reached early. Now, we all know that wristwatch was not very
famous back then. Also, I forgot to tell you that this story is of the 1990s so
children used to not wear watches since there was no importance given to
watches while playing. She did not know the exact time. She was not worried
since she thought the group would turn up on time. She waited, waited, and
waited. 30 mins passed and nobody turned up. She was now worried. She
understood that the group played a prank on her and she started crying. She sat
under a tree beside the lake. The area was very quiet and there was not even a
dog barking.
It was almost 7 and she now was about to start walking and she saw something shining at the side of the lake. It was almost dark and it was very clear that something white color is being shined. She went up there and took that shining element. It was a stone.
The moment she took it into her hand, something strong passed through her and she got a slight kick. She reached home at 7.40 pm and her father yelled at her and her mother was crying. The moment her mother saw her she hugged her. so many things happened but Anupama was quiet and did not say a word. She straight went to her bed. Her father and mother were surprised because there was no explanation given and Anupama did not even cry.
The next day
Anupama woke up at 5 am. Cooked for her house and drank her tea. She even got
ready for school. At 7 am her mother when enters the kitchen she gets a shock
because the food was ready, utensils were washed, clothes were washed and hanged
out. She did not understand that what just happened. She then looks around and
she noticed that the house too was cleaned. She asks Anupama that how come she
cleaned everything and even cooked because Anupama did not know cooking. Then her
mother notices that Anupama suddenly looked too good. As in, fashionable. She
yells at Anupama for applying cosmetics but as usual, Anupama walks away.
She reaches
school singing. The group was waiting for Anupama. They thought she would cry.
But when they saw her too fashionable and not at all scared they were left
shocked. While passing the group smiled and winked at them. The boys got
attracted to Anupama because as mentioned earlier she started looking very
beautiful. Karishma notices the changed behavior of Anupama. The girl who used
to be silent was very talkative today.
Karishma
after school went to Anupama’s house and told everything to her parents that
what happened. Karishma went there with her father too. Her father used to
believe in supernatural things so he suggested they take Anupama to one “BABA”
so that they can advise something. Anupama had gone out to play that time. When
Anupama reaches her house she sees that one baba has come to her place. She
becomes violent. She starts speaking in some Urdu language. The baba was not
some roadside made-up baba. He was very talented and experienced in this field.
He then does some rituals and saves Anupama.
The baba
then asks Anupama that what does she remembers last. She then tells baba about
the stone. When baba sees the stone, he tells that some spirit had entered that
stone and by touching it, Anupama rescued the spirit as a result of which the
spirit entered Anupama’s body. The Baba then did some rituals and put that
spirit back to the stone and took the same with it. Anupama is now fit and
fine.
Anupama then
learned that she was better alone. Because she wanted to become the center of
attraction she fell into such a trap. Now, I don’t know how true this incident
is. But, yeah this was told to me and I am very thankful that the person shared
the story with me. Thanks, my friend.
Now the
question for you all is, do you believe in supernaturals? Do comment in the comments
