Childhood

Those were the days when being childish was cute.

Those were the days when we had no deadlines.

Those were the days when no matter how you are dressed, you were welcomed.

Those were the days when going home early was real happiness.

Those were the days when we had no burdens.

Those were the days when family time mattered.

Those were the days' friends were valued.

Those were the days when we were satisfied.

Those were the days when we could not think of any evil plans.

Those were the days' trust was nowhere shattered.

Those were the days when we considered parents as oxygen.

Those were the days we could cuddle in our parents’ arms.

Those were the days when we were valued for our behavior and not the degree.

Those were the days when walking with friends used to be our mini-tour.

Those were the days when grandma’s stories would make us fall asleep.

Those were the days when we used to believe everybody’s stories.

Those were the days when we could be us.

Those were the days we did not have to pretend at all.

Those were the days when we used to be happy with small things.

Those were the days we could get easily manipulated by our parents.

Those were the days when siblings were our biggest food enemy.

Those were the days when our all lies were acceptable.

Those were the days we did not know any false acts.

Those were the days when playing outside all day was our motive.

Those were the days when mobiles were not our best friends.

Those were the days when we had real friends and not virtual ones.

Those were the days when we could be us in front of 1000 people.

Those were the days when we used to search for friends while playing and not trending things on social media.

Those were the days when we used to give tension and take none.

Those were the days when completing homework was a big task.

Those were the days when we did not need a vehicle but friends to go to school.

Those were the days when we did not know to show off.

Those were the days when we were happy with cartoon network channels and not Netflix.

Those were the days when we had no secrets and used to share everything with our mothers.

Those were the days when we wanted new pencils, bags, stationery, and not expensive and branded clothes to show off.

Those were the days when we used to have parle-G biscuits and not pizza or burgers.

Those were the days when sharing was considered caring.

Those were the days when our hands were full of friendship bands and not expensive bracelets and watches.
