We have been seeing a rise in Covid-19 cases now and I think it’s high time to control it. We cannot blame the Government every time, can we? It’s not their fault that we get affected. Taking care of oneself is in our hands. We know better to take care of ourselves, don’t we?

In Goa, the situation is getting worse. Being the smallest state of India the virus is getting transmitted faster and the impact is too much. Some decisions of the government must have gone wrong but, being older and wiser we must know to take care of ourselves whenever we step out. The government cannot stop virus transmission if we aren’t following the guidelines well. You cannot clap with one hand, you need both hands to clap.

We want no exams, no colleges, and schools then why do we step out for fun? It’s not a joke. Many of us have taken the virus as a joke. The situation is worst than in 2020. 2020 is not over yet and the same virus with different mutants is rapidly getting transmitted.

We know ourselves better. I had last stepped out for vaccine and I saw many people on the roads with no masks and also they were maintaining no physical distance. Is this the seriousness? Is the Government to be blamed for this? No, we are wrong. Certainly, maybe Government has taken wrong decisions but before pointing out at the authorities ask yourself that are you following the norms which you should be?

I wasn’t supposed to write on this topic but it’s irritating to see that persons who do not follow the guidelines which are made for their safety properly, blame Government for the condition prevailing right now in the country. I do not understand why you all don’t wear masks? Do you feel ashamed to wear them? Isn’t mask one of the protective things to ave you from this deadly virus? If you don’t have a mask at least maintain the distance from the ones who are serious.

There is no seriousness and no physical distancing in the markets and this is very true. If you aren’t serious about this at least maintain the distance and don’t touch others. Have some basic sense. I don’t know if you have seen this in your locality but I have seen and experienced it and that’s why sharing this with you all.

Also, we all know how important sanitizers are for us. I see no people sanitizing their hands and they directly touch their hands to their face. I do not know what to say. I am blank because being a prudent person, one should know the situation prevailing in the country and should be taking appropriate measures to protect them and their family members. We are going through a bad phase. We all are sailing in the same boat. Every state in India is suffering. There are no beds available and the required things are not easily available. In such a case can’t we just come forward together and be united and take precautionary measures?

Please be serious and take care. Let’s collectively change the situation. Let’s bring back the normalcy by staying indoors and avoiding stepping out unnecessarily.

Lastly, I would say please follow the guidelines, wear your masks, keep sanitizers with you no matter where go and maintain a physical distance. Avoid tours and fun to keep yourself and your family safe.
