Shocking!!!!!!!!

So I was traveling by bus to my college and there was a lady who was sitting in front of me. I think she was sitting with her daughter or daughter-in-law, not sure. So that lady was wearing a Saree with no blouse on and could make out that they were poor. But her daughter was wearing beautiful Kurta which was a bit weird because looking at her daughter felt like they earn quite a good. I ignored them and started listening to the songs.

After 15 minutes, the lady tried sleeping on her daughter’s shoulder, I don’t know what went wrong and she pushed her mother and mother woke up and slept towards the window side. All the passengers were looking at them and the daughter’s expressions were very bad. Again after some time, the mother kept her legs up and the daughter hit her on the legs and asked her to keep them down.

After some time, one guy came and sat beside the lady and the lady kept her head on his shoulder. He was quiet and said nothing. And this time the daughter slapped her mother and we all were shocked. Many people came and yelled at the daughter stating doesn’t know how to behave with the mother? The daughter replied this is not the way to behave on the bus, can’t she sit properly. And then one of the men said is this the way to tell her? The daughter kept quiet and sat.

What I felt after seeing all of these things is, there is a huge gap between our parents and us. The thinking and behavior differ. They have gone through different situations and so do we. The keys to getting over this are “RESPECT”, “REALISATION”, “BEHAVIOUR”, and “SITUATION”. Respect with regards to age, the realization of the fact you are going through, behavior which we earn through proper education, and the situation which right now you are in. What I strongly feel is, when we were small and didn’t know who we are our parents were the ones who told us the meaning of our existence. They gave us food, shelter, clothing, and proper education at that time. During those times they told us or you can say educated us with the facts.

Now the phase has changed. The world has changed. New technologies have arrived so shouldn’t we teach them about this? For example, now we have laptops, computers and various gadgets so shouldn’t we gift them these and teach them to use them? When we go wrong it’s their right to teach us and so we can but there is a proper way to do this. Instead of yelling at them we can funnily teach them and trust me they will be so happy to learn these things.

The world is changing but our parents cannot because they aren’t aware of technologies or the manners getting followed out right now and it’s not their fault because this was not the situation which they were habitual of. So please respect your parents and if you don’t like some habits of theirs please tell them politely because shouting or hitting them will degrade you and not them. People will blame you for being rude and not them. Help your parents if they need it because it’s your duty.
